Scitex Recruitment is seeking a skilled Toolmaker to join a well-established, industry-leading precision engineering company in Central Auckland.

With over 50 years of expertise in product development and manufacturing, our client offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a modern, advanced workshop with cutting-edge equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tool and Jig Fabrication: Build, maintain, and modify tools and jigs according to customer specifications.
  • Precision Work: Use and interpret drawings and specifications while ensuring accuracy in your work.
  • Customer Interaction: Liaise with customers where needed, providing excellent service and expertise.
  • Maintenance: Perform maintenance and repair of Toolroom plant equipment.
  • Health & Safety: Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others.

About You: To succeed in this role, you will bring the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience in an engineering workshop environment is essential, with a focus on toolmaking. Experience working in the plastics industry is ideal, but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • High accuracy and precision.
  • Ability to work independently, manage tasks, and take ownership of your responsibilities.
  • Collaborative attitude and excellent communication skills.
  • This role would suit someone with 5-10+ years experience, and a passion for benchwork.
