Paint & Coatings Field Specialist

At Scitex, we’re partnering with an established client who’s a leader in the protective coatings and industrial paint space. We’re looking for a motivated Paint & Coatings Field Specialist to join their team and grow a key region across Queensland.

This is the perfect next step if you’ve been working in a paint shop and want to take your knowledge further. You’ll use what you already know about paints, coatings, and application, but take it on the road — visiting clients, helping them choose the right products, and supporting successful projects from start to finish.

In this role, you will:

• Service and grow an existing client base, providing technical support and product recommendations
• Target and win new business across your territory through client visits and presentations
• Build product specification with architects and engineers by maintaining up-to-date catalogues and technical information
• Deliver product training, troubleshoot issues, and support project success end-to-end
• Provide insights back to the business on competitors, pricing, and opportunities
• Keep good records of customer activity and contribute to sales reporting and CRM data

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has experience in paints, coatings, adhesives, or building materials — time in a paint shop is a big plus
• Can confidently speak to product performance, specs, and application
• Enjoys building strong customer relationships and growing territory sales
• Has strong communication and organisational skills, and is self-motivated
• Holds a full, clean driver’s license
