Scitex Recruitment is seeking a Metrology Technician to join a leader in product development and manufacturing. For over 50 years, they have been designing and manufacturing world-class products, improving lives through innovation.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in quality assurance and measurement systems, working alongside a dedicated team of experts.
 

You will report to the Quality Manager and work closely with the Quality team. Your main responsibilities will include setting up reliable measurement systems for production, troubleshooting measurement issues, and conducting measurement studies to support testing and product development; the role includes setting up and running the Micro-Vu Optical Inspection System, validation, measurement studies, Calibration and Documentation.

 
Full training will be provided to help you succeed in this hands-on role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Measure injection-moulded parts, tooling, and components using appropriate methods.
  • Set up and maintain measurement and calibration record databases.
  • Develop measurement routines and methods for moulded parts and incoming inspections using the Micro-Vu system. Coordinate maintenance and calibration of the Micro-Vu system.
  • Measure tooling components and generate related documentation.
  • Validate components to meet internal/external customer requirements (PPAP, SPAP, FAI).
  • Calibrate measuring equipment (Vernier callipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
  • Train QC staff on operating measurement equipment and conduct Gauge R&R for measurement validity.
  • Contribute to the development of the companies measurement, quality assurance, and validation capabilities.
  • Assist the Quality Manager with auditing, investigating quality issues, corrective actions, and other tasks.

About You:

  • Experience in a similar role is great, but not mandatory
  • Strong maths and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to read and understand part drawings.
  • Attention to detail and focus on accuracy.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English and report writing.
  • Enthusiastic to learn and grow in the field of quality assurance.
