Mechanical Engineer

About the Role:
This position starts with a focus on mechanical engineering, supporting clients across the Southland region. You’ll be directly involved in project delivery while gradually building relationships with local clients, spotting opportunities, and growing a pipeline of work.

Over time, and with the right support and mentoring, your role will potentially evolve into something bigger: a Regional Manager-style position where you’ll lead the local growth of the business.

This role is ideal for someone who:

• Wants more than just a technical job — you’re excited by commercial growth and customer engagement
• Sees long-term opportunity in the Southland region and wants to build something lasting
• Has the communication and drive to represent a brand and build relationships with clients

This is a growth opportunity, so we’re not expecting you to tick every leadership box just yet. Instead, we’re looking for someone with:

• A mechanical engineering background (ideally degree-qualified)
• Excellent communication and relationship skills
• A desire to grow into business development, leadership and commercial strategy

You’ll be well supported by national leadership and engineering teams. You won’t be going it alone — but you’ll have the opportunity to take real ownership and shape what presence looks like in the region.
