Maintenance and RC Coordinator

  • Lead planned maintenance activities
  • Balance hands-on repairs with contractor coordination and safety compliance
  • Open to early career engineers or hands on tradies with an eye for detail!

At Scitex, we’re partnering with a global chemical manufacturer to recruit a skilled and motivated Maintenance & Responsible Care Coordinator for their Bayswater facility. If you’re someone who thrives on keeping operations running smoothly and safely – this is a unique opportunity to join a highly engaged and values-driven team.

About the Opportunity
This is a multi-faceted role suited to someone who brings a mix of technical maintenance know-how, coordination ability, and a strong safety mindset. You’ll be responsible for managing the site’s CMMS system, driving planned maintenance programs, conducting minor repairs, and coordinating external contractors – all while ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and Responsible Care standards.

Your time will be split between ensuring equipment uptime and reliability, supporting EH&S reporting, and maintaining documentation systems. You’ll also play a critical role in audit preparation, training matrix updates, issuing work permits, and championing risk assessment initiatives.

You’ll report jointly to the Site and Production Manager for maintenance matters, and to the EH&S Manager for your responsibilities in Responsible Care.

What You’ll Bring

  • Hands-on experience in maintenance, ideally in a manufacturing / chemical production environment
  • Proficiency in managing planned maintenance systems; SAP experience is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of EH&S or Responsible Care systems
  • A relevant trade qualification or background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineering
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities

This is a role where you’ll make a genuine impact on site performance, reliability, and safety culture – working with a team that values continuous improvement and collaboration.
