We are currently seeking a proactive and eager-to-learn Junior Maintenance and Facilities Technician to assist with the smooth running of our client’s chemical manufacturing facility.

As a Maintenance and Facilities Technician, you will assist in the inspection and upkeep of plant and facilities, working closely with contract engineers. You’ll gain hands-on experience with preventative, reactive, and compliance-related maintenance tasks while learning to manage contractors and ensure all Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and scheduling maintenance activities using the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Supportcontractors in conducting maintenance tasks and helping to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Help coordinate third-party contractors, ensuring they meet the company’s induction and safety procedures.
  • Assist with the implementation of EHS procedures, including Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments (HIRA).
  • Learn and improve standard operating procedures under the guidance of experienced engineers.

What You Need:

  • A relevant qualification or trade certification in mechanical or process engineering, or an eagerness to learn in the maintenance field.
  • Some experience or knowledge of manufacturing processes, with a keen interest in the chemical industry.
  • A basic understanding of Quality, Compliance, and EH&S systems is a plus.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and willingness to learn and grow in the role.
