Are you a meticulous and safety-conscious Laboratory Analyst with a passion for quality control? We are seeking a skilled professional to join a leading chemical manufacturing company based in Wiri, Auckland. This is a unique opportunity to apply your laboratory skills in a dynamic environment.

As a Laboratory Analyst, you will be responsible for the daily analysis of manufacturing and customer samples, ensuring strict adherence to quality control procedures. Your role will involve preparing reagents, testing raw materials, and issuing Certificates of Analysis for finished products. You’ll also manage the laboratory’s chemical and equipment stock, contribute to research and development, and ensure that the lab operates safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily analysis of manufacturing and customer samples.
  • Prepare reagents for quality control analysis.
  • Test raw materials and finished products following established procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with the Laboratory Procedures Manual.
  • Issue Certificates of Analysis to customers.
  • Manage laboratory chemicals and equipment stock levels.
  • Perform R&D and quality control requests as needed.

About You:

  • BSc in Chemistry or NZ Certificate in Science.
  • Relevant laboratory experience, particularly in wet chemistry and HPLC analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to tasks.
  • Good communication and computer skills (MS Office).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Focus on safety and a proactive approach to WHSE policies.
