About the Role
As an Internal Sales Representative, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service while supporting the sales team. You’ll play a key role in maintaining and growing relationships with existing customers, handling inquiries, processing orders, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure smooth operations. This front-office role is perfect for someone with great communication skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handling incoming calls and emails, assisting customers with inquiries and orders
  • Making outbound calls to existing customers and some cold calling to find new leads
  • Qualifying leads and setting up meetings for the external sales team
  • Processing purchase orders and invoices (low volume, high value)
  • Monitoring inventory and overseeing product dispatch
  • Coordinating with the warehouse and operations team to resolve issues and communicate delays to customers
  • Participating in daily production meetings and escalating any customer-impacting issues

About You
We’re looking for someone who is confident, proactive, and enjoys engaging with people. You should be comfortable picking up the phone, handling frustrated customers with professionalism, and finding solutions to problems. The ideal candidate will be:

  • A strong communicator who is happy to make outbound calls
  • Resilient and motivated—able to push forward after a tough call
  • A team player with a mature, low-ego attitude
  • Detail-oriented and proactive in resolving issues
  • Experienced in a customer service or sales role, ideally within NZ
