Food Technologist

About the Role:
We are seeking an R&D Food Technologist to support new product development and ensure the technical and food safety integrity of product launches. This role is crucial in preparing technical documentation, developing product concepts, and assisting with trials and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the stability study programme for new products
• Develop robust formulations that meet New Zealand and international standards
• Prepare product specifications, documentation, and export information
• Create and assess concept samples to meet customer briefs
• Conduct internal audits to support quality assurance
• Oversee factory trials and ensure smooth transition to production
• Participate in sensory evaluation and support troubleshooting production issues

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualification in Food Science/Technology or related field
• Experience in NPD is prefered 
• Strong understanding of food safety, compliance, and regulatory standards
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering quality outcomes
