Regional Manager

This is a key role that blends sales, leadership, and technical insight, and we’re looking for someone who can confidently step into all three.

This is not a pure engineering job. While you’ll need to understand the technical world — likely through a degree in engineering and industry experience — your real strengths will lie in sales performance, team leadership, and business growth.

You might be a current sales leader with an engineering background, or someone who’s led technical teams and is looking to step up commercially.

About the Role:
You’ll take ownership of the Auckland office — a central hub in their New Zealand network of mechanical design professionals. Your mission: to grow the Auckland business, lead a capable team of engineers, and ensure strong commercial performance through client partnerships and project success.
Your focus will be:

• Sales – identifying and converting opportunities, engaging clients, and ensuring strong project pipelines
• Leadership – growing the Auckland team, setting culture, managing performance, and supporting development
• Technical – understanding the team’s delivery and ensuring high-quality project outcomes

You’ll work closely with Caliber’s national leadership and board, with the autonomy to shape the Auckland region’s growth and success.

We’re open-minded, but the person we’re seeking will likely bring:

• Sales experience — proven ability to win work, ideally in engineering or technical services
• Leadership capability — experience managing teams, running performance reviews, and building team culture
• Technical understanding — ideally a degree in engineering and experience in project delivery or design
• A proactive, commercially focused mindset and the ability to represent this business as a brand ambassador in the Auckland region
