Line Engineer

We’re working closely with a passionate business owner, to find someone who can bring their hands-on know-how, mechanical or electrical smarts, and ambition to help drive this growing operation forward.

This is more than just a job on the tools. It’s an opportunity for someone with curiosity, initiative and drive to take real ownership of production line performance, troubleshoot and improve processes, and help train and guide the wider team.

You’ll be stepping into a unique role that bridges line engineering, production support, and automation/PLC expertise—perfect for someone who thrives on variety and making a tangible difference.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Line setup & adjustment – getting machines production-ready and making tweaks to ensure smooth running.
• Fault finding & improvement – from mechanical snags to PLC diagnostics, your brain and hands are both in play.
• Training others – upskill operators and improve team performance.
• Maintenance basics – conduct small repairs and routine servicing to minimise downtime.
• Supervision & support – be a go-to on the floor and support breakdowns or callouts when needed.
• Health & Safety – promote and uphold a strong safety culture at both sites.

We’re looking for someone who’s:

• Mechanically and/or electrically minded
• Experience within a food manufacturing environment
• Familiar with PLC systems and confident working around automation
• Confident leading or training others in a hands-on environment
• A problem-solver, not afraid to take initiative
• Health & Safety aware, with strong communication skills
