Production Team Leader – Night shift

This multi-national food manufacturer is looking for a Production Supervisor to lead their newly created night shift team in the production of ingredients for a major food retailer. Although starting as a temporary position, this position has great long term potential as well as future opportunities to develop into more senior roles with the company.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Excellent leadership skills to effectively manage a small team of two, whilst also leading from the front to be hands on with all processes.
  • Experience in a food manufacturing environment, ideally with exposure to bulk weighing and blending of ingredients as per the production recipe.
  • Physically fit with the capacity to lift 25KG repeatedly.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail and mathematical skills to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Flexibility to work on the night shift and adapt to changing production schedules

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least one year of previous experience as a Production Supervisor or in a similar leadership role
  • Understanding of production machinery and maintenance procedures
  • Passion for continuous improvement and a commitment to quality

The working hours are from 22.00pm to 06.30am Monday to Friday with occasional overtime hours on a Saturday. Please note, as this is a new department, initial training will take place on the day shift from 6.00am -14.30pm.
