Warehouse Manager

Are you seeking a fulfilling career opportunity without the hassle of shift work or working at weekends? Look no further! We are currently seeking a Warehouse Manager to join our well established Mt Maunganui based client who manufacture bakery products for both the local and export market. 

About the Role
We’re on the lookout for someone with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude where you will oversee a team of two warehouse staff. Your responsibilities will include ensuring all daily tasks are completed efficiently and accurately. From maintaining warehouse best practices to managing dispatch and delivery, paperwork, and utilizing their Warehouse Software ERP and business management systems, you’ll play a vital role in their daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of warehouse operations, including freezer and refrigerated operations
  • Supervise and train a team of two direct reports
  • Plan and schedule warehouse work efficiently
  • Ensure the highest levels of customer service through efficient warehouse and dispatch functions
  • Oversee day-to-day pick and pack dispatch requirements, collaborating closely with the customer service team
  • Accurately receipt inward goods against purchase orders and prepare documentation
  • Manage and maintain inventory levels with accuracy, conducting regular stock takes and implement warehouse methodologies
  • Operate forklifts for loading/unloading trucks and export containers

What we are ideally seeking:

  • Demonstrated experience in a 50/50 admin/warehouse/stock management role
  • Valid forklift license
  • Experience in FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) industry, regardless of scale
  • Ability to work autonomously while also fostering a collaborative team environment
  • Hands-on approach with a proactive “can do” attitude and a willingness to go the extra mile
  • Culturally adept with a calm demeanour
  • Experience in supplier contact and supervisory roles
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (Abel) and Management Software (Power Bi) and familiarity with RF scanning technology
  • Knowledge of 5S principles and lean manufacturing
  • Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety practices
