Are you an experienced sales professional with a background in coatings/paint, or a related industry involving technical expertise in chemicals or coatings? About the Role:
In this exciting account management role, you will play a pivotal part in fostering multi-functional relationships, collaborating with clients on upcoming projects often supported by independent engineers. Your responsibilities will involve engaging with various stakeholders to ensure the right products are specified while building and maintaining strong, collaborative partnerships throughout each project. As the key point of contact, you’ll troubleshoot technical challenges, leveraging your foundational understanding of the industry and relying on a dedicated technical team for support. This role also emphasizes a level of account growth, with a focus on establishing new relationships within the sector, combining technical expertise with strategic relationship management to drive success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical product knowledge and support, equipping clients with the insights they need to make informed decisions about Carboline products pitched to the building/construction/civil sectors
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction where you will be focussed on understanding their business and future projects
  • Drive sales growth by achieving targets, identifying new opportunities, and maximizing revenue from existing accounts
  • In order to drive sales growth, proactively seek out new clients and business prospects, managing leads and delivering impactful presentations to engineers/specifiers
  • Maintain detailed customer records, prepare insightful reports on sales activities, competitor trends, and market conditions, and share key updates with the team
  • Have a team-based approach where you build relationships with internal teams and share your knowledge.

Key Requirements:

  • A mechanical engineer or professional from a related industry with chemical knowledge, or with a foundational technical aptitude in coatings or paint, coupled with a strong desire to expand your expertise and provide added value to clients.
