As the Quality Manager, you will:

  • Lead the New Zealand businesses on Continuous Improvement within the Quality and Environmental Management Systems, both strategically and operationally.
  • Manage day-to-day quality activities while driving continuous improvement in quality practices to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and standardization across plants.
  • Operate an IANZ accredited Product and Material Test Centre to support manufacturing, prioritizing work to meet needs.
  • Support individual businesses from a product quality perspective, addressing significant customer complaints.
  • Lead and develop a competent quality team and champion the quality culture across all sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice and direction on quality management; liaise with peers to exchange best practices and standardize processes across the APAC business.
  • Lead the improvement of quality processes across the NZ organization to drive and maintain best practices.
  • Lead a Health and Safety culture as a top priority within the Quality department.
  • Implement and support internal policies and plans in relation to ISO9001 and ISO14001 standards.
  • Support the Technical Marketing Manager to influence NZ Standards.
  • Manage the IANZ accredited product and material certified test center  ensuring its effective operation.
  • Support NZ NPD activities to meet quality compliance needs.

To succeed in this role you will need:

  • A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Science, or Technology.
  • Significant experience in senior leadership and management roles in quality.
  • Proven experience managing quality systems and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Strong manufacturing experience, within industries such as plastic manufacturing, food, dairy, packaging or building supplies.
