Planning Specialist

Our client, a leading player in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Production Planner to join their dynamic team in Hastings.

This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless production and supply of high-quality products to their valued customers. If you are passionate about supply chain management and possess a strong background in production planning or Material Planning, we want to hear from you!

Our ideal candidate will be tasked with developing and implementing production schedules and Material Replenishment Planning to ensure continued supply to customers. Through this, you’ll be a natural in driving efficiency and achieving inventory targets, whilst being able to lean on your MRP experience to achieve quickly within the role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Optimise factory production schedules and prepare necessary information for production.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for customer service and handle any supply issues and communicate resolutions to customers
  • Manage production work orders and purchase orders, and engage with suppliers and freight forwarders
  • Process customer orders and forecasts, while maintaining components, consumables, and imported items.
  • Attend production meetings and provide spoilage reporting.

Though not critical, this role ideally suits someone who has a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a related production planning setting, and crucially someone who can demonstrate good understanding of ERP systems, strong communication skills, unparalleled customer engagement, a methodical approach, and drive improvement.

What we’re looking for in you:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar or related supply chain role.
  • Demonstrated production planning experience with effective communication skills.
  • Customer service focused with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • High-level computer literacy with experience in MRP/ERP tools.
  • Positive approach and focus on making things happen.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • High level of energy, determination, and tenacity.
