Manufacturing a broad range of products for the Bakery, Foodservice, Industrial food processing, Dairy and Retail markets, our client offers unique strengths to the International Food industry and has grown to become a leading refiner and processor of Fats and Food Oils.

About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to use your natural leadership skills to guide, motivate and mentor others in a busy team who are focussed on the analysis and testing of raw materials, in process and finished product samples.  

This respected industry leader has massive plans for 2022 and has already invested significant resources into projects which will cement their place at the forefront of food technology innovation.

Our ideal candidate will possess a background that includes exposure to a wide variety of Testing and Validation methods. Working closely with senior technical experts, the Team Leader will manage a team of Laboratory Technicians working a 5 week rotating shift pattern over three shifts and it is envisaged that they will become of part of the rostered, senior on-call team.
  
Key Responsibilities include:

  • The leadership and supervision of approx. five Laboratory Technicians
  • Supporting the senior technical team by overseeing a wide variety of testing methods including chromatography and spectrophotometry.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to improve efficiencies and customer service
  • Train Technicians and trouble shoot unexplained results and technical issues

Applicants should possess:

  • BSc (chem)
  • Demonstrated Laboratory experience
  • Proven experience and expertise in Validation and Testing processes
  • Excellent communication skills and natural leadership ability
  • High levels of integrity, adaptability, diligence and ownership
