Industrial Electrical Mechanical Maintenance Technician

About The Role:

We are looking for motivated Electrical Mechanical Maintenance Technicians to join our client’s Pokeno operation. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will work closely with production teams to maintain peak performance, ensuring all electrical and mechanical equipment is running smoothly through plant maintenance, maximizing availability to keep their operations seamless and efficient, and drive ongoing enhancements for optimal performance through continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain both electrical and mechanical heavy industry plant & machinery
  • Identify and resolve complex technical issues
  • Collaborate with all production teams 
  • Conduct training sessions on equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols
  • Develop and improve maintenance schedules and strategy
  • Propose and implement continuous improvement initiatives 
  • Analyse equipment performance data and provide recommendations 
  • Procurement of spare parts and inventory management.

Key Requirements:

  • 3 years’ proven experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • NZ Mechanical and/or Electrical Trade qualification
  • NZ Electrical License (EWRB)
  • JSEA’s and SOP preparation experience
  • Improvement-driven with technical problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
