Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Repair and maintain machinery and equipment.
  • Schedule and complete the company’s Preventative Maintenance Program.
  • Interpret drawings and specifications to determine materials, methods, and machine settings.
  • Fit fabricated metal parts into products and assemble metal parts and sub-assemblies to produce machines and equipment.
  • Check fabricated and assembled metal parts for accuracy, clearance and fit using precision
    measuring instruments. 
  • Set up machining tools and controls, including cutting and shaping tools, and textile machines.
  • Diagnose faults, performing operational maintenance, and repairing mechanical parts and fluid power equipment.

Skills & Experience:

  • Trade Certificates – Engine Reconditioning/ Fitter & Turner/ Machinist and/or other related industry qualification.
  • Strong experience in a similar role will be highly regarded
  • Punctual and reliable, self-motivated, problem solver & team player.
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Must pass a drug & alcohol test and be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical if required.
  • Already had a Q Fever vaccination or are willing to participate in the vaccination process.
